Man, this roadtrip was a freaking dream!! My best friend lives in east bay of California, and I thought it'd be an excellent idea to visit her during labor day/her school break. We mutually decided doing a coastal roadtrip to Big Sur and surrounding areas. Here's a break down of what we did!
Day 1: Monterey
Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Nice place to walk around. Spent30 minutes here and it felt sufficient.
17 mile drive, Pebble Beach. Very pretty drive, stopped where we felt like it! Nothing particular stood out, it's all beautiful.
Day 2: Carmel and Big Sur coastline
Carmel Bakery! So good. Got the pistachio cannoli
Enjoyed walking around and window shopping in the heart. Such a cute, charming place.
Day 3: Oakland
Oakland LDS Temple. Spectacular grounds and temple. Great place to walk around and get awesome views of Oakland! You can even see San Francisco from here.
Day 4: San Francisco
Conservatory of Flowers is a must see! Chill and peaceful place to walk around enjoying lots of magnificent flowers.
Golden Gate Bridge. We attempted to get a picture on the outlook, but it was too dang foggy again! I came here in 2020, and it was also foggy, but in 2022 I got the pic! Still very fun to drive on.
The Palace of Fine Arts - great place to stroll around and enjoy beautiful architecture.
